Introduction

The poster session will be set up as a poster object in the "gather" space and will be available for viewing at any time during the day. During the core time of the poster session, please enter the "gather" and wait in front of or near your own poster as much as possible (just as you would in an on-site conference poster session). We will also upload the same poster to LINC Biz, which will be available for viewing (only for registered participants) on the day of the symposium and during the following weeks (details will be announced later). The LINC Biz contains chat and comment functions. If you are occupied with your and/or some other posters during the core time and cannot see the other posters, you can continue the discussion after the symposium in the text format in LINC Biz. The organizers take care of uploading the posters to avoid any confusion caused by having two platforms. To this end, we request that poster presenters prepare their posters as either google slides or image files and send them to us via email at pmrn.organizers@gmail.com. There will be a flashtalk section in zoom on the day of the symposium, which is independent from the poster session.

【Language】

We are asking the poster presenters to prepare their posters in English at least for the figures, tables, and legends so that non-native speakers of Japanese could participate without language barriers as little as possible and to promote deep discussions.

Poster
Posters should be in the format of google slides or JPEG image files only.

For Google Slides:

A Google Slides "poster" presentation does not need to be as large as a regular printed poster. As in a PowerPoint presentation, multiple slides can be viewed by the audience by freely flipping through them. You can create your slides directly on Google Slides (https://docs.google.com/presentation) or import a PowerPoint file created on your own computer. Once you have your presentation as a Google slides document, please go to the File menu and click on "Publish to Web" to get the link to send it to the organizers via email at  pmrn.organizers@gmail.com.

How to import your PowerPoint file 1

  1. Create a blank slide.

  2. Click "File" → "Import Slides".

  3. Select the "Upload" tab.

  4. Select the file you want to import and upload it (pptx).

  5. Select the slides you want to import and click "Import Slides".

How to import your PowerPoint file 2

  1. Upload your PowerPoint file to google drive.

  2. Right-click to select → "Open with" → "Google Slides"

How to get the link

  1. Click "File" → "Publish to the web" (you can leave it in the "Links" tab)

  2.

Click the "Publish" button to publish the file. Copy the URL and send it to us. Please make sure that the file is now "Published".

  3. Please send the published URL to pmrn.organizers@gmail.com.

For image files:

If you are preparing an image file, please make it a single large image as in a normal printed poster. However, the image does not have to be vertical (since everyone will be viewing it on a widescreen, a 4:3 or 16:9 slide format will be the easiest to read).

  • Format: jpeg or png

  • Width: from 1000 pixels to 6048 pixels

  • Height: from 600 pixels to 4032 pixels

  • Size: 3 MB or less

  • Resolution: 72 dpi or higher is recommended

Please send the image file to pmrn.organizers@gmail.com.

Other file formats:

If you would like to use other file formats, please contact us (pmrn.organizers@gmail.com). Also, if you have difficulty preparing Google Slides or image files, please feel free to contact us.

Flashtalk

The aim of the flashtalk

The purpose of the flash talk is not only to advertise your poster but also to let the participants recognize and link your name and face with your work. One of the major aims of this symposium is to promote networking among researchers in this field, and we would appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Format

For the Flash Talk, please send only one slide per person to the organizers when you submit your poster presentation. The organizers will make them into a single slide file and display them via our screen sharing. Each presenter will have one minute (subject to change depending on the number of posters) to present your name, affiliation, and a brief description of your poster. Since this is a short flash talk, it would be more effective if you present one or two main figures/images/cartoons briefly describing your research topic or subject and one take-home message, rather than the details of your results. If you can include a photo of yourself, it will make it easier for us to recognize your name and face (optional, of course). Overall, how you prepare the slide and present yourself in one slide, one minute maximum, is all up to you. We are sure that there will be a variety of styles, and we are looking forward to seeing your talk.

Slide format

As mentioned above, slides from all presenters will be incorporated into a single file by the organizers. To avoid the unintentional disruption of the formatting and design of your slides during the process, we request that all presenters send their file in the PDF or image format (4:3 or 16:9 horizontal format) via email at pmrn.organizers@gmail.com. Thanks very much for your understanding!

Should you have any questions or comments concerning the posters and flash talks, please do not hesitate to contact us at: pmrn.organizers@gmail.com
